Youtube Incorporation

YouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. Three former PayPal employees created YouTube in February 2005. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion, and is now operated as a subsidiary of Google. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media corporations including CBS, the BBC, UMG and other organizations offer some of their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program.

Unregistered users can watch the videos, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Videos that are considered to contain potentially offensive content are available only to registered users over the age of 18. The uploading of videos containing defamation, pornography, copyright violations, and material encouraging criminal conduct is prohibited by YouTube's terms of service. The account profiles of registered users are referred to as "channels".

How to make better internet videos on youtube

Welcome to youtube.

Visitor's comments

Been watching the demonstrations on YouTube. It’s hard to understand what is going on there. I was only able to understand they want their president down.
joel

If Egypt is not a dictatorship, why did they block the internet when the riots started? If it’s not a dictatorship why are they so afraid of the truth?
moli

I wouldn’t go as far as calling Egypt a dictatorship. There is something a little bit sick about watching a revolution from your living room.
stenly

You are so right. That’s why other dictatorships are pissing in their pants when they hear about You Tube and google, just look at China and what happened there.
liren

Yup, it’s changing all right, but I’m not sure it’s for the better. Most people are interested more in funny animal videos than in any political stuff.
Zamri , Holy land tours

It’s amazing to see how much influence YouTube has. I’ve been watching some of the thousands of videos posted from Egypt. The world is changing, my friends.
Valid B , הלוואות

I am a guitar player and I can tell you that YouTube is a miracle for me. I now have a lot of stuff out there and people actually watch me play and leave comments all the time.
Zorkin , בעלי מקצוע

What’s wrong with funny animal videos? Yes, there is a lot of stupid stuff on YouTube but you also have documentaries and other important stuff. What you are watching is up to you.
Sopra , דם טבורי

I have to agree that it\\\\\\\'s pretty awesome to watch all the YouTube videos from Egypt. I think it’s like watching the French revolution live on my computer.
kim , id scanner

You people are missing the point here. Without internet video resources like YouTube, I don’t think what’s now happening in Egypt would have taken place at all. They know people are watching.
serrgio , records management

I think You Tube can do wonders for you if you are an aspiring filmmaker, or musician. It’s a democracy of viewer taste and you can reach a huge audience doing almost anything.
sami

I am a music teacher and opened a Youtube channel for my students. They practice and then upload their videos so they can share musical experiences.
liran

This is a terrific idea. My son is playing the violin and has been uploading videos to show his friends. It encourages him to continue and practice to no end.
dor

I just love what YouTube has done for my son. He is eight years old and plays th violin. He watches training videos on YouTube which improved his playing to no end.
frank

I am a terrible cook and I find the cooking channels on Youtube to be extremely helpful. My kids sure appreciate it!
banjamin

I am officially addicted to Youtube. I watch short movies and music videos all day long. I find it much more addictive than Facebook.
